International Operations & Trade Compliance Manager

Details: We are seeking an International Operations & Trade Compliance Manager to join our growing Supply Chain Department in our corporate office in Calabasas, CA.? The International Operations & Trade Compliance Manager is directly responsible for managing, planning and overseeing all aspects of the international logistics to achieve HFT's financial, operational & strategic goals while maintaining compliance with all associated federal rules,?regulations & supply chain security guidelines?as relates to imported merchandise & export operationsWill work closely with Purchasing/Allocations, Global Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Legal, and other Supply Chain Departments to create timely, cost-effective, and compliant import/export supply chains. Handles the technical details of end-to-end international transportation-origin activities, ocean freight, import/export documentation, customs and other government agency regulations-developing optimization strategies, and building relationships with logistics service providers. Responsible for providing leadership to international logistics and ensures corporate compliance with customs, other government agencies, suppliers, logistics service providers, and international liaisons.? Oversees and leads International Operations and Trade Compliance.? Reports to Director, International Operations and Trade Compliance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, build and manage international logistics improvement plans across functional departments and supply chains Monitor global logistics strategy to ensure the company utilizes the best combination of price, service, equipment optimization, and supply chain security Develop and implement strategy for improving key performance indicators (KPIs) of international carriers and other international logistics intermediaries including but not limited to compliance to allocations, on-time performance, and data accuracy Collaborate and communicate with functional counterparts, and senior management regarding the effects of transportation, including analysis and/or information regarding the industry and/or government (foreign and domestic) policies and regulations that may affect the company. Establishing a process that enables information flow through all required communication channels, including updated written operating procedures, and quarterly reviews with Key Stakeholders/Sr. Management regarding International Logistics performance Ensures compliance with international and U.S. laws related to import/export activity Evaluates trade-offs between transportation costs and service levels Additional duties as assigned by manager
