(www.dcpmidstream.com)Job Summary:The purpose of this position is to support the gathering and processing (G&P) of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) through the performance of various tasks associated with gathering, purchase, sales and fee-for-service contracts. This position will exercise judgment and application of standard gas contract techniques, procedures and criteria in the establishment of records and controls to assure optimum benefits for the company.Essential Functions:Administers the contract control review for all contract formation activity on assigned assets, in compliance with company policies and procedures and with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) 404 Contract Formation controls. Assists with the preparation, tracking, inventory and distribution of G&P contracts for assigned asset areas. Coordinates communication of new contract activity with business team, accounting department and treasury department, as applicable. Coordinates the process whereby expiring contracts are identified. Assures that prospective notifications are presented to Commercial representatives and analytical support is provided regarding potential replacement contracts. Assists with the preparation of summaries of contractual disputes and formulation of resolutions which may include obtaining opinions from legal staff, initiating and conducting meetings with outside companies, e.g. producers, purchasers, and/or their respective legal personnel or specialized representatives.Develops and maintains working relationships with employees of customers through various means of communication. Supports research to evaluate the impact of new or proposed laws and regulations. Assists Buyers concerning existing agreements and situations affecting present and future negotiations. Participates in the design, testing and implementation of computer systems for the assigned areas of responsibility. Reviews contract terms and provides analytical assistance to Managers or Senior Analysts with specific requested details of contract provisions for periodic presentation to the appropriate representatives. Works with the legal staff to resolve problems resulting from ambiguities in contracts and obsolete provisions. May assist in drafting curative amendments.Basic Qualifications):Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance/AccountingUnderstanding of business premises and economic evaluationPrevious experience and proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel and AccessMust be able to work successfully in a team environmentDesired Qualifications:2-3 years of direct experience with contracts that are related to the natural gas industry, preferably the midstream sector.Previous training in commercial contracts, economics, revenue accounting and financial reporting.Previous experience or training with building reports/queries and performing analytics.Previous experience with Contract Business Systems, including but not limited to, Quorum Contract Management, QQM/Business Objects XI, and Gas Management System (GMS).The ideal candidate will be a dependable self-starter with a customer focus orientation and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
